Hi All, I'm a new member so please be gentle with me. I am planning on taking my wife away for her 40th birthday at the end of August for a long weekend. We talked about hotelling it but I suggested if we could find a lovely, picturesque caravan site, then that might be a nicer more personal way to go. As its only going to be for 4 days we dont want to spend hours in the car travelling so we have put a limit of two hours travelling (although this is a bit flexible for the right place). We live in Donington, near Spalding in Lincolnshire. My wife has said she would be more than happy to go to the Nene Valley/Ferry Meadows C/Club site in Peterborough, but, lovely as that site is, I just want to make it a bit more special. What we would ideally like is: Picturesque views, nice walks, clean facilities. Not bothered about onsite entertainment or anything like that. So, is there anything like that? We are not members of the Caravan Club yet but plan on joining in the next few weeks so their sites would be doable also. Thanks people for any help you can give me. Wayne
