Can't decide which of these two sites to stay at in late august. Both look nice and scenic but Cashel probably edges this category because of the lake views but you have to pay more to stay there. But the main factor for me is which of these two sites will keep the kids entertained (aged 5 and 12) prefferably for free?

Can someone please give me some advice.

We have stayed at Cobleland twice and we love this site. It's set in woodland and has nice walks and cycle routes. The only downside I would say is the midges. We have not stayed at Cashel but have walked round it. They are both very different sites. I would have to say I preferred Cobleland but that's probably only because we have been twice. Have you read the campsite reviews?

Yeah have read every review we can find for them both and couldn't decide between the two so i was hoping someone on here had been to both and be able to give their opinion on which is best.

But we have booked now and are going to Cobleland, Cashel took themselves out of the running when i phoned them to make an enquiry and them telling me they only have ehu on hard standing pitches. Thanks anyway.

You will not be disappointed. You can walk into Aberfoyle and have a wander round. The wool centre usually have things on and sell nice coffee and cake. Let me know if you need more info
