Hi 'The Austins'
If you are willing to go a bit further out of the New Forest and can live without a pub close by (although there are some in very short driving distance) then I would highly recommend the Stone family farm in Verwood. It's a working farm and your kids would absolutely love it!! I have just come back from there this BH weekend and it was great. It is also walking distance to Ringwood forest and the Moors Valley park, which is very beautiful and has loads of things for the kids (tree top walks, play areas, steam train etc).
Search UK campsite for Stone Family Farm, read the reviews and decide for yourself. I have just submitted my own review this morning but unfortunatley it's not published yet.
