If I can choose the Meadows, I will.  I know one of the fields is more open than the other.

The Sun has come out to play today.  Great,  Today,  tomorrow is fine.  Wind gusts seems fine so far,  I think it has burnt itself out after last night,  following the yellow warnings.

I may ask for Tuesday to be extended till 5 o'clock.  Give more time to pack up.  If it is going to be wet, then it doesn't matter.  The tent can drip dry in  the bath.

I have been working most of the week. I had to sort everything out and pack the car up after work.    Just a few bits to do this morning.

I have to go via Chester, to drop off my timesheets.  Save on petrol and petrol as I was going to do yesterday.     Too tired and thought it wasn't worth it.

I will let you know how we got on, when we get back.

I was at Ty Mawr 4 weeks ago, as we just bought our first family tent together, to test the tent out etc. I was impressed with the price ( £24 for 2 nights) the entertainment for kids was great, the toilets n showers was clean with hot water. We liked it that much we booked 8 nights from the 8th june for £115. Im impressed.

Hi back again. 1 man 1 dog.

We were put into the meadows.  The EHU was 16 amps.  The site was filling up when we arrived. Only had a few choices of pitches.   Wanted to be by a hedge. These seem to be non EHU.  except by the road.

What is it with people.  A couple arrived much later than us.  Put their Gobi 4 up.  Only had about 2 guy lines pegged.    Expecting the tent to stay up  right. when the winds decided to hit.     1 pole bent so much that it split.  the whole tent went on it's side.    I came out with the duck tape for them to do a quickie repair.  Helped them to peg out.

They didn't even have any pegs in the pin and ring..   Or any where on the tent.  They asked me if the tent is rubbish.    They said it was only their tent having problems, everyone elses wasn't moving.

I told them they should have had all the lines pegged and other places.    I was very helpful, taking into consideration;   I had to tell them at 3o'clock in the morning,  "did they realise that their voices travel and I could hear every word".  They apologised.  Started talking in lower voices.  An hour later, I told them to "shut up".   I was not so polite.

The weather was fab though Saturday and Sunday.   The only thing was:  I seemed to be in the middle of a rave.   And some said come on Campers.    as they were dancing.

It certainly is, a hit and miss, the type of people turn up to be neighbours.  The other field seemed to be quieter.  hahahahaha  the reverse to your experience 1 man and 1 dog..  There again it was a bank holiday,  I never camp over the bank hols.   Ooops

Sounds like such a different place compared to my visits in those "quiet periods".

What a shocker about the Gobi 4 owners thinking their attempt at pegging would be enough.

During my visit I was across from an Gelert Ottawa 4 (same tent as the Gobi), and that held up pretty well despite being in the open as much as my now sadly deceased Atakama.

So evidence that they are good tents in the wind. Though it was getting a good shake.

So neighbours apart, what did you think of Ty Mawr overall?

Not too bad.  I did like the portacabins,   I thought they were fab.   The showers were brill;  adjustable and proper shower doors, very nice indeed.   The chappie who keeps them clean.  Who cleans them all the time, to keep on top of them.   He told me he had cleaned them at 6 am.  That's dedication.

And then someone goes round litter picking.

Depending were the pitches are.  Nice views to be had.

Lucas enjoyed the Arcades.  Did pop in for a few drinks.

Oooh!!! It's alright for some.     I would love to obtain some of those cheap prices you seem to be able to get.

That's your October sorted.  Are you still contemplating the Summer hols.

My Sis wants to go camping with me again in the Summer hols.  Which is great.   But I have to provide all the equipment.  Put up two tents.   So I tend to arrive a few days before hand and have a bit of respite.  lol
