As part of a two week tour Whitbay, York and Durham I am looking for recommendations for a nice site around Robin Hood bay, This way we can hit Whitbay & Scarborough with easy and be based around Robin Hoods bay a new location for us.
It shall just be the Wife and I for this leg with daughter and grand daughter joining us in York later on so site does not need to have massive facilities just peaceful, clean, secluded and hopefully walking distance into the village.
I have checked the camp site search but just looking for some first hand advise.
Thanks all

Rigg farm just outside Whitby is good but may be a little too isolated. It has everything else you are looking for though.
------------- Coming soon to a campsite near you, Jake, Mrs Jake, Little legs, Bosdog the Doodle and Olly the Cavachon.
2014:
August: Scarborough, High Yedmandale. Not tenting though, using one of their lovely holiday homes!

Another vote for Hook House farm - I've reviewed it in the reviws section of this forum - lovely site.

Middlewood Farm site, nearly next door to Hook House.
Has a lovely walk from the site right down to the beach at Robin Hoods Bay. Path brings you out at the fish and chip shop in the harbour
