We are looking to camp in south or central Wales in the summer for a week.
We are looking for a campsite that is a walk from a beach. We don't want a holiday park type campsite and are looking for something basic with maybe just showers.
Two families with 7 children under 10.
Could anyone recommend anything? I haven't been able to find anything close enough to a beach through the search engine.

Mill house near Saundersfoot is a lovely site, and only a 10 min walk through a wood to the beach, which has a great food pub, and shop on the beach, stunning area around the site too.
If you go into camp site search , tap on town, type in tenby or gower, quite a few campsites will show up, both are a lovely part of wales . hope this helps.

You could look at Shell Island it is one long beach, great for kids and has basic showers and a good shop and even a cafe if you want. Been several times, lots of reviews on here and the have there own website where you can pre-book,
I agree the Caerfai Farm campsite in St Davids is lovely. Pencnwc Farm http://www.floronpencnwc.co.uk/index.html is also lovely being near the coast path a ten minute walk over the fields to a beautiful cove called Porthlysgi.
