Hi , just returned..... an enjoyable stay, ended up staying a 3rd night as we had a downpour and didnt fancy putting the stuff away wet after putting it up in a storm.
Its a nice friendly site (probably nicest other campers weve come across), owner really nice and does what he can for you (lent us brush to knock bits from trees off tent and sweep puddles from footprint - and EHU extension as somepower points dont reach all pitches), not the most up-to-date but has the basics:
34 (ish) pitches, allocaqted via a board on arrival
Toilet block with 2 male & 2 female toilets with sink
2 x washing up sinks, just covered
4 x showers (mixed but large)
3 x swings for the kids
owner leaves few toys n bits out for kids to play with
chicken in adjacent garden attracts the kids
not the flattest pitches, very uneven and some bricks exposed but didnt spoil the stay
some pitches bigger than others
5-10min from tower and zoo
£16 per night with EHU for family 2+2
we'll be back
