Has anyone got any recommendations on good sites around this area (I have mainly been looking around the Cromer area but willing to go elsewhere in Norfolk).
I've been looking at Woodhill and Overstrand and both have some good (and bad) reviews. I've stayed near Runton before (I think it was Manor Farm) which was OK but would like to be closer to the sea ideally. Overstrand seems good but I was surprised at how expensive it was for a week whereas Woodhill seemed like it had better facilities and was quite a bit cheaper. But if anyone has stayed at either or knows a nicer one around there, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

waxham caravan site on here or chestnut farm, waxham also on here, both decent sites, short 20mins walk to beach, not all singing dancing sites, but all what u need.in way of toilets showers etc.
Depends what you're after - we love searles in Hunstanton. We've never camped here but have stayed in their holiday lodges a few times and recommended to a friend who took their tourer last week and loved it that much they've booked for New Years break and next may already!! It has loads of facilities, pool, entertainment, restaurant, near beach etc. tescos smack opposite. Not a cosy site but great if that's what you're after. Clean and friendly and Hunstanton itself is a lovely little coastal town. Hope this helps.

Yes, I was just reading about that but I guess it's too late, it's booked now. 1st week of the summer hols too so will possibly be packed. I've been to their Kelling Heath one years ago and it wasn't too bad so hopefully Woodhill will be OK.
I guess I'll just have to buy some windbreaks for a bit of privacy
If its like when we went you wont have any room to put them. When its full you can hear the people in the next tent breathing its that close.Mind you dont fall over their guyropes
I wish it was like when I was a kid and you just paid per night - paying up front for a whole week on a site you know nothing about is a bit of a gamble. Maybe I should have booked Manor Farm - I've stayed there before but it was ages ago, I can't remember much about the facilities but I do remember lots of space.........
Manor Farm is a much better site in my opinion although I dont use it much anymore but if I was in that area then I would definately use it again.Have you paid up front

Searles is great, have just returned from a great weekend camping there, however Hunstanton town is a ghost town, nothing to do, the beach is ok though. The funfair had closed by 6pm every night and its difficult to find places to eat, even the fish and chip shops were closed in the evenings.
There is a new Marstons two for one pub opening soon opposite the tesco store though.
Camcroft, do you know how big the normal pitches are? I haven't booked the premium 100sq m pitch but wondering if I should have. I worked our tent out to be about 39 sq m.
We have also booked at woodhill, just a standard hookup pitch, was at searles the other week and the pitch was 8x10m which was massive (80sq m) and the tent looked lost!
I just phoned them and they said it's 9 x 11 m and not next to the road...hooray!
Really looking forward to getting away now - and fingers crossed that the weather is going to be kind - it's at the end of July and they're predicting a nice July so I hope they're right
