Hi,

Looking for a recommendation for a campsite.

Ideally situated somewhere within easy access of Oxford, Bichester and would like to visit Lego land in windsor. I know its a pretty big catchment area. But family friendly site with electrical hook up for tents would be ideal.

thanks

Another vote for Greenhill.  The Park and Ride to Oxford is very convenient (£2.40 return last time we used it) and Bicester is only a short drive away, with access to the M40.  There is plenty for children to do - play area, games room and lots of small farm animals.

Thanks for the recommendation. Will look into it in the near future for a long weekend planned in late August.

Soggy?!!  I'll have you know that the sun has been shining in Holland for the last 10 days and I nearly got sunburnt one day last week!  Having a wonderful trip so far.  See you on 28th June!

Another vote for Greenhill from me, we stayed over the bank holiday and although busy it never felt cramped, well worth booking and fairly priced.

Thanks for posting this, we're going to use Greenhills for a stopover on our way home from our summer hols.  I'm also looking for a day out for the kids as an end of holiday treat. Is Legoland easily doable in a day from Greenhills or any other suggestions for nearby family days out.

It's about an hours drive.

Blenheim palace is nearby...10 mins worth a visit, nice walks etc, Woodstock town is pretty too.

Punting down the Thames or boat trip in Oxford, lots of tours of Oxford, but nothing quite as exciting or expensive as Legoland.

Thanks, that's helpful. I like the idea of punting down the Thames, but I might be outvoted. Tesco vouchers will help with Legoland.

Take a look at Hardwick Park, which is nr Witney.
Just come back from a 3 night stay and is great.
Good facilities and a watersports centre on site for the kids.

We stayed at Godwins Ice Cream Farm our first year of camping, 3 years ago. Just up the road from Bicester and not too far from Oxford. We liked it and I reviewed it on here.
