We're visiting The Forbidden Corner in North Yorks next month. It's 2.5 hours from home so we've decided it would be the perfect opportunity to try our new tent out the night before.
This is only our 4th camping trip. I've had a look through reviews but I am finding it hard to find anything suitable.
We are travelling from Hull, so anything between here and Leyburn would be fine, but the closer to the Leyburn the better.
My main concern is a modern, clean shower block, with somewhere I can quickly dry my hair.
Advice would be great!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I did go through those listed in Leyburn but they all sound a little dated.
We were spoiled with Burton Constable for our first camping trip, with very modern shower blocks, and now I expect everywhere to be up to that standard, and it's proving difficult to find anywhere as good.
Craken House is only a mile from Leyburn and has some stunning views and lovely hot showers!
The Forbidden Corner is great fun for all the family. Just to let you know (in case you weren't aware) that admission is by pre-booked ticket only. You can book tickets online in advance of your visit by going to the Forbidden Corner website.

Have a look at Lower Wensleydale caravan club site, Haven't been there myself (yet) but my friends are currently there and they say it is brilliant.
Looks very good on the web site too.

Slenningford Water Mill I belive is not that far from Forbiden Corner. Lovely site with spotless facilities. There is a small beach there as well for the kids to paddle but do take care in wet weather as the river can swell.
