Looking for a campsite in Cornwall maybe around Padstow but open to suggestions. Our criteria is

Family site with a play area but NO bar or entertainment
On site shop an advantage
Good clean facilities a must
Things to do in the local area and been able to use our bicycles without there being too many hills!!

Have enjoyed camping at Deers glade in Norfolk but fancy a change

Thanks

Good choice; Padstow is a very pretty harbour town and great for cycling. The camel cycle trail starts here -it's an old railway line so very flat. And loads to do in the area; boat trips from the harbour, visit the lobster hatchery, walks, lovley sandy beaches, nice little towns to explore, surfing and other water sports in Polzeath, great food etc. Bedruthen steps worth a visit.

We always stay at Dennis Cove camping and love it as it right by the camel trail and pretty much the only site in Padstow within an easy walk of the town (10 mins flat walk) -  big bonus as parking a bit crazy, esp in school holidays when it can get rammed! Site is good value, quiet and in a lovely location, dated/ basic but very clean facilities. No play area or shop - although the local Tesco is a short drive (just at the top of the road) and the shops in town an easy walk. We love it!

Otherwise Gwithian Farm is great; brilliant toilet facilities -spacious, really modern & clean. Near St. Ives, so bit further south, but nice! Not sure about play area but there is a shop.

Padstow Touring Park - about 1 mile from Padstow harbour (you can walk it over fields from the site if you're active).  Has play area, shop & coffee lounge.  Not a cheap site though, but that's Padstow for you!

Hi

I would recommend you take a look at Perran Springs, a bit further south, but ticks all your boxes that you have requested.

Their facilities are the cleanest Ive seen, and have well spaces showers and private cubicle areas.

Thanks Donkers chelsea girl and uk andrew for your suggestions.
Your right chelsea girl Padstow area definitely seems more expensive but still fancy going there. I like the camel trail being so nearby too.

we went to Cherry Cottage camping http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=10480, the facilities are relatively new and were always clean when we used them, no play area or shop onsite but there is a garage opposite and a site around the corner with play area and laundry facilities which you can use (also bar & entertainment if you wanted it) - http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3237 .
