Hi We are traveling home from great Yarmouth back to fife and looking for a stop over near York don't want to go far off the A1. Happy to go further north of York as well (but not to far as trying to break up journey)
Have got a site for the way down but its more than half way so no use for return journey
There is 3 caravans 2 with 2 adults and ours which has 2 adults and 2 kids
Site doesn't need to have much there its just a stop over
we normally travel overnight but don't want to do it this year

Can recommend this site, very well run and lovely surroundings, we visited York for the day - easy drive

I can recommend Boroughbridge c &cc site or Spen house at Minskip, both 5 mins off A1 and half an hour drive if you want to visit York or 20 mins to knaresborough and Harrogate and Ripon. J x

It's a bit further 'up North' than York but 'The Grange' near Durham could be well suited for what you require, literally just off the A1 - altho there is no traffic noise - it would make a perfect stop over for the night. good luck
