Hiya!

Does anyone know of any campsites in the Lake District that would allow a mixed group (mainly couples 25yrs+)? We're looking to camp for two nights (tents), we're just after a chilled weekend, a few drinks possibly but nothing loud or rowdy.

I thought I would give my input due to lack of replies.

You could try ringing round and explaining the situation, but this might put some owners off, then again you might get lucky. Perhaps a pub with camping may be more tolerant as they expect noise and drinks? I would search on here for pubs with campsites.

Other option is to book separately but then you always run the risk of getting kicked off.

In any event, read the reviews and avoid sites that have silence after 11pm rules and the like.

Park Foot at Pooley Bridge should be ok, if you go for the lakeside field rather than the main one

Depends on what you are looking for on the site and around you.

We have used this one http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=2660 

when we went as a group of motorbikes.

It is good if you want to do some walking but there is not alot around you, it is a nice hike to the pub further along the road.

Great langdale NT site might take a group they have a group field next to the wardens house .

We stayed at Lanefoot Farm and there were a few groups when we were there.
Lovely site too.
