Hi we have a t4 sometimes we take a large driveaway awning on other occasions we take the smaller icarus 300 , on some sites when booking with the awning I get charged one rate but if I then book with the small icarus 300 they try to charge double ! They say its a separate unit , yet it takes up less room . Has enyone else experienced this ?

It may take up less room but the sites will be seeing a campervan and a tent = 2 units rather than a campervan with a living extension!

My family tent has a charge of £43.50 (with electricity) at a site near me and yet a caravan, with an awning and EHU at the same site has a charge of £20.00. The caravan with awning are nearly double the size of my tent. Hardly fair!

Bottom line is, a privately owned enterprise which is basically what a campsite is, can charge whatever they like.

I don't go to that site.
