Hello seasoned campers

I am looking for some advice as I have used the search facility on the campsite page but am still not really sure about the results.

Basically the other half and I used to camp pre kids, and we have only been once since our daughter was born (to a family caravan site which she was too young to remember) We would really like to take her and new little bro on a camping weekend.

I am after somewhere with enough to do for a weekend (playground? Farm? Stream for fishing etc) and family facilities - basically somewhere quite easy so we don't put ourselves off!!

We are Birmingham based and ideally don't want to be in the car more than a couple of hours. I have a hankering for the beach but know its a bit too far for a weekend!

So, can anyone recommend a site for me?

Many thanks

K

I would concentrate on the family friendly toilet facilities, we have found that the less things there are to entertain them the less nagging we get! Take a soft ball and they tend to just enjoy the freedom of running around when they are little and being able to make new friends when big and little! Having a family room though is invaluable with little children, although I have been know to take a big tub and bath them in the tent!
