Apologies for being a little off topic, but it's the prizes or special rates I've seen through this website where the prize or offer can only be taken outside of school holidays that I find most annoying.
If you're willing to give up a certain amount of profit to promote your business (Thank you very much!), then please make it accessible to all. Even if this means a shorter stay during the high season.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
We pick what we want to pay for a site and then find a site within that budget, we don't have to go in school holidays but if we want to then we do, don't want all singing all dancing sites so prefer to go to the quieter cheaper sites. So far we have not paid anymore in the school holidays than we have during other parts of the year. But if you want lots of facilities, entertainment etc you have to be prepared to pay for it.
Its your choice where you go at the end of the day.

I don't understand why a business would give away the product when they could sell it. Giving it away as a promotion when you are struggling to sell all of your pitches makes sense!

we could not operate the park to our standards at the low / mid week rates, all year through, so we charge more when demand outstrips supply at the busy times.
Its like the Supermarkets - they offer "cut price food" as a "loss leader" to tempt you into their shops.....
There's deals to be had out there even during the school holidays. This week I booked 5 nights at a Park Resorts campsite for the first week of the school 6 week holidays. £25 through groupon and £15 supplement for EHU.
Booking direct with the site comes in at £273.
Gotta get in early though. Snooze and you lose.
