Hi everyone,
after spending the day looking for a campsite and not having much luck!!! Has anyone got anyone got any recommendations for a site in Dorset, for tent with electric would like to be near a beach, with a playarea for the children.

There are so many. Can you be more specific?
We like Norden farm at Corfe castle. Handy for Studland beach and Swanage (by sream train if necessary) Underneath the castle and a walk into the village.

Hi, we would like to be in walking distance of the beach, as long as it has a children's play area we don't mind.

Then try Charmouth sites. There are are 3 within walking distance of a sandy beach.
This one seadown is closest - a short walk through the site. Not our favourite campsite at all but meets your requirements and other people seem to like it.

Freshwater is a good site right on the beach but pebbles as I recall and the beach shelves VERY steeply and sea bathing can be dangerous. They have full facilities including a pool though as I recall.
