Hi everyone,

We're excited to be heading down to Deers Glade in Norfolk next weekend for a week. Fingers crossed the weather stays as good as it is now!! Once the wife and kids have settled in I'm hoping to do a spot of fishing!
I have requested a pitch next to the lake and have been allocated pitch no. 119. Does anybody know if this is directly by the lake? I have been onto their website and the non electric camping pitches are not numbered on the plan. Also has anybody been fishing here recently and can tell me how it was? Really appreciate any help.

Thankyou!!
Nick

None of the pitches are far from the lake, so I wouldn't worry about which pitch you've got
I've only fished there twice and never caught anything at all

Haven't been there for a couple of years now and have to say that the fishing got worse each time I stayed there. I hope it has improved for your visit. If not, you can always watch the rats running around on the island.

Hi we went at spring bank for a week, they have ha to erect a fence around the lakes as otters (I think it was otters ) have eaten the carp. We dud fish but it was slow going.they are going to restock the lake but I can not remember when. The non ehu pitches are all close to the lake.still one of my favorite sites with or without the fish! I hope you have a great tine ,wush I was going.

Thanks to everyone for your input, it seems i shouldn't expect to much from the fishing but looking at the reviews for the site, we have chosen a good one and can't wait now!!!

Not sure I shall mention the rats to my OH tho. lol

There are some very dog friendly beaches in Norfolk, only problem I can't remember their names!! I remember going to one where there was a cafe and you walked over a hill onto the beach, to the left was no dogs and to the right, dogs were allowed, brilliant!
