There are some large popular 'family' sites near Abersock. Personally I avoid them like the plague, but might suit your family (we are all different).
It's a shame your kids need more than a beach (mine are younger, so that's all they need) and EHU because IMO two of the best campsites in Wales are not too far from Abersoch, but I don't think they will be right for you. I would consider going a bit further south of the Llyn peninsula, more sites down there that tick your boxes. You could try Shell Island *shudder* but many people love it.
