I just tried to book the CC Braemar site for week beg 14th Oct - our schools are on holiday then so hubby has to take that week. The site closes the week before for 2 months. What an odd time to close.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Braemar normally re-opens for the skiing season ... however all change at Braemar, the CC are loosing it, the owners of the land are going to run it themselves.
If you are looking for alternatives in the area (ish) I can recommend Silverbank CC site at Banchory and Stonehaven CC site.

Feeblecat Don't be too hasty booking somewhere else as Invercauld Estate are advertising for new wardens at the moment. I could never understand why the CC closed for 2 months between October and December so maybe the Estate will open year round when the Club leaves on 14th October! We have stayed at Silverbank in November and the weather was better then on Deeside than it had been on a weekend in the summer!
