Can anyone recommend a site in Hampshire/Dorset please for camping with children and a dog?
I am a bit nervous as I've decided to brave it and take the children and dog camping for the first time ever and on my own. Leaving my dh at home to hold the fort. Not sure whose drawn the short straw?!!
As its going to be a big enough challenge taking my boys and new dog camping I thought I'd try and go for a great site that is on a recommendation.
Can anyone recommend one? There seem to be tons to choose from but I can't decide!!
I think I need the kind of site where the children can play out and roam about safely, making friends etc. Possibly swings or play area. Also somewhere to take dog for walk... Also I suppose a shop might be handy.... Someone suggested Burnbake, but as its my first time I can't face the non booking basis...
Does anything spring to mind?
Many thanks
Kim

Sandy Balls! Love the place! Great play areas, lovely cycling and nice walks.
I take my chilblains by myself too and we do alright. Don't have a four legged friend though.

Shop, playpark and farmyard interest for children, dog walk and even showers for dogs - all at Norden Farm Corfe Castle (not far from Burnbake).
Another vote for Norden farm. One of our favourites. Excellent site for dogs, children & Adults.

We have just come back from Stone family farm which is near three legged cross about 6 miles from ringwood. Very small site exceptional hospitality from the farmers Kevin and Sue. Large supermarket about 1 mile away, large play park within walking distance, also moors valley within walking distance. We had an amazing time.R
