Hi all, was wondering if anyone can recommend a campsite for a couple with a 2 year old, req EHU but that is not charging extortionate prices now that it is high season. We're from Wales and would either like to camp here or withen a 2 hour radious from Cardiff.

People on here will recommend plenty of sites but may not know the price. You are best doing your own search. Go to Camp Site Search at the top of the page where you will get an accurate picture of what you are looking for.
Price depends very much on the facilities offered. Basically, you get what you pay for. There are plenty of sites for less than £20 per night, but most are pretty basic. I make a lot of use of the 'Pubs with campsites' list on the campsite search. I find that these average about £15 a night but are usually a field behind a pub with , perhaps, a portakabin type toilet block. Bonus being pub grub to which I'm partial. One comes to mind in which you may be interested, havn't yet tried it , but intend to shortly, called The Ancient Briton, you'll find it listed in the search facility. Location is top of Swansea valley at Pen y cae............Mick
