We are going to Fforest Fields for the August bank holiday. We have never been before and are so excited. Only thing is that we have been warned we will probably end up on the big field. Are the pitches here clearly marked out? And will electric hook-up be easy? We don't want electric cables having to trail across the field. And will we still feel secluded, or crammed in? I have a feeling it will all be great and I'm worrying over nothing but I hate the unknown. Have tried looking for some pictures but can't get an idea really. Many thanks for your help.
Why not give Katie a ring? We are going in August but have asked for an AWP. I am sure you will be fine as the whole ethos of the site is calm, peace and plenty of space. Last time we visited there was plenty of space on the field - it is a huge field. I have a feeling the EHU were round the edges but I may be wrong. When you get there I am sure you will be shown to the field and will be able to take your pick of pitches. Have a look at their Facebook page , there are loads of photos on there!!
Hopefully these pictures might help. There are some really nice pitches along the hedges although really I don't think there is a bad pitch anywhere at Fforest Fields. While we have never pitch on the sports field, we do always have a walk up there and I can't say I've ever seen any trailing wires at all from the hook ups. Enjoy your visit.

I have been to this site a few times but not for a few years and from memory we hooked up to our electric quite close by. The site is absolutely beautiful, very well kept and with stunning views and the people who run it are so nice and helpful....infact, I fancy going there myself now! :)
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
should be ok on the sports field, we stay on it every time we go to ff, never seems crammed and has good views of the mountains, in fact we are there over the august bank holiday too.
Thanks so much, especially for the pictures. The pitches by the hedges do look lovely and I'd be very happy with one of those, so thanks again. Very excited!! :)
