Some Certified sites do some don't depends on the owner. The pitch sizes tend to be larger.

I've not stayed on any CS with marked pitches. Agree with Nigel pitches are generally much bigger and you may even have the site to yourself...

The biggest problem with pitch spacing on CS sites is not how much the owner gives you but the idiots who want to pitch tents next to their friends so close that the canopies touch..... They don't seem to have any concept of what fire in a tent is like or the fact the CO from the BBQ can kill them.

You will find that most CS owners will give you more like 12M between tents and caravans (not including car and awnings).

Thanks for the replies. I've recently been to a CS and the pitches were not marked but in order to get the EHU lead to reach I needed to pitch closer to a caravan than I would have liked. The caravan owner later told me it was 13ft when we had a "discussion". No problem as he was able to move his caravan slightly; however he was not there when we pitched. I just wondered if there was an actual rule or not.

As far as I'm aware (I could be wrong) no law actually stipulates distance...? However various sites do stipulate a distance and indeed they are enforced on C&CC club sites.

It might be worth investing in an extender lead to prevent this happening again as some EHU posts are quite far away..?

In answer to your question (now I fully understand) in general CS do not follow this rule or have an obligation to...?
