Hi all,
Want to pop off for the weekend probably just Saturday & Sunday nights, we live in Salisbury so looking For Wiltshire or Dorset only want to travel an hour. Everything I've looked at seem to be 3 or 4 nights min booking or full! Anyone know any campsites where we can just turn up & stand a good chance of getting a pitch, only need toilets & showers..

With it being a bank holiday weekend, most places will be busy. If you have a rough idea of the area you wish to visit, have a wee look on the 'late availability' search facility. May be worth giving any sites you fancy a ring beforehand to find out if they have a minimum nights stay.
Have a great time wherever you end up

Shell Island in Wales might be worth a try. I don't know definitely that they do this but it's a pitch anywhere kind of site. What it's like on a BH I have no idea. Might be a bit rowdy. Depends what you want.

Thanks Hacksaw bob, Woodyhyde looks fab & funny enough had it in my virtual brochure the whole time!! I'll give them a call, see if they can give me a heads up on how busy they expect to be.
Suzanna Shell island is a bit further than I had planned, but thanks..
Scotts Farm and Nunnington Farm (they aren't farms!)in West Wittering West Sussex don't take bookings but you will have to get there early, some people try one, then another if the first is full.
