I have booked a campsite for this weekend off the cool camping website, read the reviews and it says there are 15 pitches, great I thought. Just rang up to check something and then said "bet your full now this weekend" .. To be told there is around 100 booked in this weekend!
Can a campsite pitch as many as they like ? only I'm concerned that the facilities won't hold up to that amount of demand. Was so gobsmacked I was speechless and I guess all other campsites in that area will be full!
Any advice appreciated.

Yes I just read a post on another webpage saying there are two of the same or similar name, one says 15 tents the other says 85 tents plus other types, so have you rung the wrong one or had a mix up somewhere ?
No, its the one on here saying 15 pitches. I've just checked phone number I've rung and its the same.
I've just had a mad panic thinking I'd booked a different site!
KK, I went and looked at the pictures on Cool Camping website, and also at the UKCS reviews, and Google Earth. Lots and lots of space and could easily fit 100 tents, I wouldn't like to be the 100th turning up at the weekend though, it looks like a free for all where you pitch. Get there early would be my advice.
The reviews don't seem to flag up many concerns as to overcrowded facilities, so fingers crossed.

Thanks for that , not leaving until tomorrow afternoon so going to have to take pot luck. Never thought of looking at google earth but will definitely do that in the future.
I've camped at the Tywyn Cae Du site, and there's a lot more than 15 pitches. It does get quite packed, so early arrival is a good idea. It's a fantastic location, hope you enjoy it.

We've camped at Cae Due meaning Two Fields it's Fairbourne and Twyn . It's a nice site if the weather stays kind . There's defanetly more than 15 pitchs .
We stayed there because it's just the right distance from Barmouth in a kayak .
