Hi all
Just back from Porth Beach and have to say what a great site this is, you literally leave the site walk over the road and youre on the beach. We were a little late in booking so the pitch available was only suitable for a 4 metre wide tent, as they insist on a 3 metre gap between tents, this ruled out the Kampa Holkham at 4.9 metres so we took the Outwell Yukon River 6 which as there was only 3 of us was not a problem especially as we had a Montana extension to try out.

On arrival it was absolutely "hissing" down to put it politely with winds of 25mph gusting to 35mph which resulted in the rain being blown horizontal rather than vertical. We sat in the car debating whether to wait for the rain to stop or just go for it. In the end Mrs Arsenal decided we should go for it and a very interesting tent pitch followed especially putting the extension up which really wanted to become a kite and fly over the campsite. The pitch however was big approx 10m x 11m so could have got the Kampa on it with ease

Great pics thank you for sharing. I was looking to book this site but had reservations about pitch size. Doesn't look like there's any issue there though! Definitely going to book here for next summer :) Can you recommend a pitch to request, if they'll let me?!

They do pitches by tent width 3m, 4m and 5m. We had a 4m pitch which turned out to be 11m wide x 10m. Any pitch past the toilet block are ok book early if you want a certain pitch. There were some negative reviews but to be honest we couldnt fault it. Site was always tidy, toilet block spotless all went quiet by 11pm and there are wardens on site overnight. Beach is over the road outside the campsite and Newquay is just a 20 minute walk away.Will certainly go back next year

That's brilliant cheers for the info. I will also definitely be booking for next year, looks and sounds like this could be my perfect campsite!
