We are off here in a couple of weeks and for once I am going to take a TV but does anyone know whether you can get freeview channels through an aerial there?

You can check by inserting the site's postcode HERE
According to the Club's site details "A satellite dish is required to receive limited TV channels only."
------------- June - Old Brick Kilns, Fakenham
June - Long Acres, Boston Lincs.
Would imagine its difficult to get any picture with an aerial. If memory serves me well the site is on a hillside with hills all around.
Not sure if you can see Loch Leven from the site which is the only real open space as the site is at the end of the valley.

Any time we've been there's certainly been no TV reception. Always used to be the case that there was no reception on analogue. Can't remember whether we've been there since digital switchover, but it's unlikely to have made any difference.

Had a smile over that one, diesel steve! Personally, would agree with you but we don't know the OP's situation and, let's face it, the night's are closing in and (if this w/end is anything to go by - wild wet and windy) they might want something to do in the evening! Just hope that it's not like that next w/end or over 21st Sept. when might get away to the CCC site on Skye!

with 5 dogs i'll be doing that as well, don't really have much choice LOL, but there are the evenings, pretty difficult to take them all to The Clachaig think 5 spaniels in the back bar may well cause a bit of havoc
Just to confirm, the site is surrounded by high hills. We don't have a TV (no room for one), so the DAB radio is our usual entertainment. And I can confirm that the midges are still out in west Scotland, if it's flat calm and just been raining, and take a tick hook: our spaniel caught several at that site.

Ticks and Midges are par for the course up there, DOH spends his evenings on tick patrol lol

We are here first time on this site and already I would come back, just wondering why we left it 3 years to come back to this part of the world , even the tow up wasn't that bad

Glencoe is certainly an amazing area, it was my second home for many years when I was younger. You could spend a lifetime walking and climbing in the area.
Hope the weather is kind to you..
