Topic: Booking confusion!!!!

Hi everyone,

This might sound silly but I am in the process of booking next years trips so that we don't miss out but keep coming up against "no availability"...... Most of the online booking systems have the option to select 2014 but when I put in the dates I want (and I've tried several sites) it says the dates aren't available...... Surely not ALL these sites will be booked nearly a year in advance, would they?
Admittedly the dates are in the summer school holiday but I would of bought that there would have been at least Some pitches left.

Do we think it could be just that the booking systems aren't "live" until later in the year or early next year or has everyone really gone camping mad??

You'd be better ringing them direct and booking them then and there. I'd be inclined to think their systems aren't live yet, but just incase I'd lift the blower.

Don't know about other sites, however, C&CC normally starts accepting 2014 bookings from about late Oct/early Nov onwards.

I had the same problems so I rang a couple of the sites and they said they haven't decided on 2014 prices yet so wouldn't be taking any bookings for next year until November!

We don't normally put our prices online until October and it would come up as unavailable. Had people asking though so are bookable now and had a few bookings.

Yes, one of them was a C&CC site so that explains that..... just frustrating as I like to be organised!

One of the sites we're visiting next year was only too happy to help........... of course i played the "can I have it at this years price" card lol

Funnily enough, your site was one of the ones I looked I looked at! - uncanny me thinks

So are you putting your prices up for next year (your current prices are a bit more than what i'd usually pay per night is all) or do we get a lovely UKCS discount???

I too like to be organised.

I have already booked one site (non-C&CC) for next year, and had been offered 2013 prices if I book now for a trip in 2015 which I declined, as my plans for 2015 are subjected to change due to the need to celebrate a significant birthday (my 50th).

we have booked 2 of our holidays for 2014 already. admittedly both at haven sites but both are with our folding camper and got some great prices. one is £54 for the week the other is £64 but we did go for an extra large pitch with that one.
