Im looking to take my family away in october half term which does run into november. There will be me and the wife a 7 and 4 yr old plus our 3 dogs. Ideally hampshire or dorset coast would be great. Site would ideally have showers toilets and ehu. I really would like an all grass pitch.
This will be our first trip out in our caravan.
Thankyou

Are you Camping & Caravanning Club or Caravan Club or just purely commercial or CL orientated??

Don't know whether I'd risk all grass in late October to be honest - as its your first trip you want it to be trouble free. Wet/muddy pitch would be enough to spoil my holiday!
I havnt joined any clubs yet, I have been lookong at caravan club just working out which is better. As for the mud im not to worried as we are a farming family and were not happy unless we are upto our neck in mid lol

We lived in Dorset and there are some lovely areas. We especially like the Purbecks - simply beautiful and lots to do.
It's also our first year Caravanning. We've recently been to Haycraft at Swanage, which is a CC club site. I've left a review.
Also been to Wood Farm at Charmouth.
Places to visit include: Moors Valley near Ringwood - fantastic day out for the kids, with a brilliant Play trail in the forest.
Kimmeridge - brilliant rock pooling
Charmouth - Fossil Hunting on the beach.
Hope you find somewhere nice on our doorstep and let us know where you end up.
ST leonards farm in bournemouth is lovely, clean and a nice little park for the children, only 10 mins from the beach, 5 mins from a aldi, sainsburys, halfords, mcdonalds, and a pub! We have stayed here twice and each time been happy!
