First year of caravanning and would love to go away between Christmas and New Year. We are based in North Sheffield (junction 35 M1) and our caravan is in storage near junction 32 M1. Any recommendations of sites not too far away, say about 1 - 1 1/2 hours, with events on for New Years Eve or nearby plus activities for daytime for adults and kids aged 15 (wheelchair user) and 7 year old. Look forward to receiving recommendations.

Try Cawood Park nr Selby, not the cheapest, but they will have things going on, but normally very busy for new years eve.

The caravan club site at Castleton is open all year, I don't know if they do anything on site but you are only a short walk from the village with a lot of pubs which will surely be doing something throughout the season.
