I'm looking for a site in North Norfolk near the coast with no set pitches, plenty of space and excellent loos/ showers. It needs to have EHU and wifi (teenagers!!) No bar or entertainment wanted, a café and shop would be a bonus.
Never been to Norfolk but really fancy a week there next Whit.

Norfolk is lovely, we moved here 5 yrs ago. I'm afraid I can't think of any sites that doesn't have set pitches. Manor farm (not been to personally) does have areas you can choose where to pitch but not if you want ehu.

There are loads of CS sites that would meet that criteria but obviously you would need to be a member of CCC.

There is a big difference between the Gt Yarmouth area and other areas so it all depends if you want quiet or busy and what you want in the way of beaches.

I think if you want ehu you will always end up with set pitches won't you! That's been our experience anyway.

Manor farm is a lovely site although we haven't been for a couple of years but to reach ehu you have to be in certain places, not sure about wifi either.

Deers glade has excellent toilet facilities, wifi, but set pitches and is a bit further from the coast.

North Norfolk is lovely, have fun wherever you go

Breck Farm, Weybourne has ehu with no set pitches. Can be noisy as we stayed in the summer and got surrounding by a group! But it may suit you.

Sorry just realised that it doesn't have wifi - Manor Farm doesn't either.

thanks for the suggestions. When I say no set pitches I'm not dead set on that but we would need a large pitch for our tent and a coleman event shelter. I like more rural quiet sites and not those that put the tents miles from the loos whilst the caravans are next to the facitilies.
I'm looking for a site like Fforest Fields but in North Norfolk. Not interested in going to Great Yarmouth at all. Prefer smaller places and the ability to walk to a beach would be perfect.

I love North Norfolk, but there does seem to be a lack of sites on the coast which are as you describe. They seem to be the sort with club etc, or small cs sites. As I have relatives there I don't always camp so don't have that much experience.
Deepdale is a little more as you describe, it has wifi, but no EHU!
If someone out there opened a site as you describe on the Norfolk coast, they be full booked all year I'm sure.
Hope you find somewhere soon, as Whit always gets booked up...I will get my thinking cap on...

Sandringham C&Cc site ticks most of your boxes, and large pitches available if you give them a call first. Plenty of space especially in low season, excellent facilities and local village shop for basic grocery needs, or larger shops including a big sainsburys sava centre within 4 miles of the site.
Wifi can be bought on site or is available free at several pubs and restaurants, cafes in the area, including the new family 2for1 chain diner on the road into Hunstanton, good value dining for around £6 a head for a main course, and not a 'chips with everything' type of place, other options are available.

We have just returned from a 21night tour of the area, but we also enjoy the area further south around the Norfolk Broads where we can get around by hiring a dayboat.

Julia

We've spent the last few years camping at Deers Glade they have fantastic facilities. Thinking of having a change next summer and going further down the coast towards Great Yarmouth so we can explore the Broads more. Whats the area like around olby and into G Yarmouth ?

Thanks

I've just come back from King's Lynn. It's probably not close enough to the coast for you but it's a great site. Huge pitches and brilliant toilets and showers.

We camped at woodhill park in west runton on north Norfolk coast last Whitsun - ticked most of your boxes, I've reviewed it (don't know how to do a link) 5 mins drive to Cromer, 30 mins to wroxham & broads - lovely we had a pitch very close to facilities. May return next year in our new to us van!
