Can anyone advise.Have looked at Rudding holiday park, Knaresburgh Caravan Club site and Rippon campsite. We like to be able to walk from our sites, both during the day and in the evening for eats and drinks. Never been to any sites in this area so any ideas much appreciated.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I stayed at Knareborough CC site, I think it was Oct or Nov, and its quite a walk into town, OK during the day as you can walk along the river, got the bus back, the last one was 9.30pm and the pub shut after the last bus!
We stayed at Sleningford Watermill last month. It's five minutes in the car from Ripon. Great site with a lovely walk along the river into the village of West Tanfield where there are two great pubs serving lovely food and real ale. Lots to see and do in the area

We have stayed at Knaresborough CC site & also at nearby Bilton Park. Both have lovely walks into knaresborough through the Nidd Gorge. You can get onto the Beryl Burton cycleway from both sites (Bilton Park is actually on the cycleway) and you can walk to various places including Harrogate & Ripley. Can't comment on places to eat as we don't usually eat out.
There is a pub close to Bilton Park, with a lovely beer garden. Have also stayed at Sleningford Watermill and the pub with the beer garden overlooking the river was one of the best beer gardens we have seen.
