Help please! Starting to plan our summer hols 2014. Had a fabulous holiday in Cornwall this year & was thinking about going bk but OH likes going different places. Am thinking id old Oaks Glastonbury then onto Somerset or Dorset. Maybe IOW. Cannot decide. Any suggestions or recommendations? Would be 28 June approx for 2.5 weeks. Obviously will avoid Glastonbury weekend.

What do you want from a camp site? Can't recommend unless we know what you want.
Am co looking at old oaks Glastonbury & south lytchett manor in direst. We have touring van & 3 digs. Like sites with views & lots of walks. Do not nt entertainment haven type sites. We in late 40s.
Can highly recommend south lytchett but make sure you get a pitch on one of the little side road bits and not on main part as cars constantly driving past . its close to everything and brilliant bus service outside the door

The Old oaks is a lovely site..the best ever we think..check out there facilitys on there website..there better than a 5 star hotel..The site is set out so lovely and the views are stunning..we went there as its Adults only and as our children are grown up that suites us best..you will never find a better kept campsite and friendly staff. You can do lots of walks straight from the park. Glastonbury..the Tor ect. The dogs even have there own hot shower so thats a bonus as you have dogs. This site is voted the overall best site in GB and its easy to see why.Musnt forget to mention the lovely homemade cakes they sell in the shop..ohhh there yummy..you wont regret it if you pick this site.
------------- Camping Tip #26: In an emergency, a drawstring from a parka hood can be used to strangle a snoring tent friend...or husband!!
If you fancy going over to the iow then Appuldurcombe holiday park is great. You can use Tesco vouchers to reduce wight link ferry cost or campsite may get a cheaper crossing.
