I am looking for a site with direct access to woodland walks within 3 hours of Stoke-on-Trent. Would like the ability of letting my dog off its lead as quickly as possible, he likes to run. 5 van site would be good but must have electricity.

Manorafon Farm just outside Abergele, North Wales. The site is situated on the estate of an old country castle and on a traffic-free lane. You can let your dog off as soon as you get out of the site gate and the lane leads up to and round the old castle, with lots of good woodland walking and several different paths to explore. It's one of my favourite places and my two dogs love it.

I think Delamere Forest probably fits your bill, I live in Nantwich so not too far from you and it takes me just over half an hour to get there. The dog walk opens directly into the middle of the forest so you can be off lead within five minutes from leaving your van/tent.. Great site.

And trevesel ccc site got a country park right next to it very nice site and yewtree farm far forest nr bewdley worsc great site 11 night with hookup brill site as a vally on the site and there wrye forest just down the road

Another vote for Delamere Forest. We go about four times a year as it's so easy for the dogs.

Rushmere farm in the Forest of Dean http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=rushmere

Also has a dog walking field which leads direct into the woods. Our dog loved it.

It's also cheap and the same price all year round, great eggs too.
