Hi everybody, had a thoroughly enjoyable first season in the van so far this year. Now looking for next year and hoping to adventure a bit further afield. I've never been to Norfolk, (well not that i can remember anyway) and we've heard from friends that its a beautiful area and should try it. So i thought..put it to the worldly wise members of UKCS for some well informed recommendations???

What sort of thing are you after?

I highly recommend Deers Glade, fantastic loos and showers, a short drive from the coast but it really depends what you are after. Individual marked out pitches, small shop on site.

We prefer North Norfolk to East,

I've recently been to King's Lynn Caravan Park. Lovely site about 4 miles/15 minute bus ride to King's Lynn.

There's our 11 year old daughter to consider so a family site preferably but without a 'club'. We were originally looking around Cromer area but we're open to any suggestions?

If it is during July/Aug you could try one of the Temporary Holiday sites in Wells, or Sheringham run by CCC DA's for less than £10 a night. Not a lot of facilities except those of the schools where they are located by close to town and the beaches etc.

If you have an 11 year old daughter, dees glade would be good, very family friendly site, no clubhouse, short drive from Cromer where you can go crabbing and on the beach.

Manor farm, east Runton if you want to walk to beach etc, but it's a bigger site

A vote for woodhill site just outside Cromer and west runton - I have reviewed - we love Norfolk and are likely to return next May .

I second Clippesby, just back from a fab weekend, our kids love it. There is a pub/restaurant on site but by no means a 'club' type site! Plenty of space between pitches, great play area, a small shop/ coffee shop but all low key.
Also recently been to The Dower House, Sandringham, camping and caravan club site and Deers Glade.
