Hi the we are staying here for the weekend and as its my birthday on the Friday we wanted to go out for a meal, whether it be a pub or an Indian restaurant. I'm struggling to find any with good reviews, so wondered if any of you he could vouch for any of them in the vicinity that you've used.
We will be 5 adults and 5 children.....so child friendly!

There is a decent child friendly Indian called the Agra 3 in Blyth but that's about 30 minutes away from the holiday park. I hope someone can come up with something suitable a bit closer to you
I can highly recommend The White Post near Farnsfild on the A614. About 10 mins from the campsite. Great food, nice menu and very family- friendly.. There is an outdoor play area for the kids. And plenty of room inside. They do 2for1 meals as well, so well priced. We go there a few times a year with our family ( we have 5 kids and we quite often go with nephews and nieces too)
Across the road is Wheelgate Park, which is a great day out for families. They have 2 massive play barns, as well as outdoor rides - so good for wet days. We have annual passes as we live about 10 miles away.
We love Sherwood Forest Holiday park. I've camped the 3 times. Great site and so much to do in the area. Have fun!
We live within a few miles of Hardwick Hall and at one time I would recommend the Hardwick Inn but not anymore, went there a few weeks ago and the meal was nothing special, sure all the veg and roast potatoes were frozen. Would have got far better value at a local Crown Carvery.
Can highly recommend the Carnarvon Arms its nearly just across the road from the Teversal Caravan & Camping Club site.

Nitnat - was the Mansfield one (Modhu mita) Mrs N mentioned up there ^^^ not close enough for you?
Carnavon arms was lovely - but fairly pricy - we are there when we were at teversal too and I'd def recommend it. Was fairly child friendly too - though we were there at lunchtime so I don't know about evening ...
Yes I really liked the menu for Carnavon Arms too, looks perfect, but it was the fact it's half an hr away. I know I sound really picky, but we wanted something just 10/15 mins. I'll look at Modhua Mita!
And if all else fails it will be the white post I suspect. Cheap and cheerful, which with 4 of our own kids in tow it needs to be along those lines!
Just to let you all know we ended up at Bengal Spice about a 19 minute drive away, service was great, and food and prices were fine too, and I would eat there again if staying at sherwood.
