The guys doing the car wash here started out with a container for their mess room, then (whenever business was quiet) they clad it in timber planks (stained s--t brown) and mock stone. I have to say it's not a good look though it's certainly eye-catching. A flat grass roof looks pretty but isn't a clever idea where the weather's wet even if you know your stuff with the waterproofing sealing layers between mud and a material that rusts. Done well, however, it can be attractive and the stuff of magazine articles and TV programs and a great deal of envy. Good luck!

Go on google images and type in" shipping container caravan"
You will find loads of pictures of completed units and some of them look great.

Norfolk,Lincolnshire??
For Mongolia you had to buy the containers to send anything and as said you never saw them again

Impreza - Apart from the attitude, have you any designs/concepts to show that you are capable of building one of these to the standard you talk about? Perhaps with a small website and portfolio you may be taken more seriously.

Being cynical many caravan park owners will want older statics vans to be moved on/sold and new siting fees and /or commission from sale price of older vans which they simply would not get with this type of home as they would last too long.....
If already clear it can and has been done elsewehere, its whether anyone "wants" it here is the hard thing to establish I guess
Best of luck with the project, anything new can be a hard sell with anything to do with caravans I am afraid I would guess due to the demographics of caravan ownership
