Hi, we need some advice. We have a touring caravan and a little dog! We would love to stay as close to the sea as possible, with a dog friendly beach. We need a good electric hookup and would prefer an awning friendly site.
This will be our first time out for more than an couple of nights and would love to find our ideal place.
Can anyone help please?
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Warcombe Farm, nr Woolacombe is dog friendly (huge 14 acre dog walking meadow provided) Sea views. Shower block is very posh and short drive to Woolacombe beach where a section of it is dog friendly. Warcombe Farm pitch prices are expensive though.
If you're heading South coast - Ross Park near Torquay is a very friendly dog site also but further away from the coast.
I second Cofton Country Holidays near Starcross and Dawlish.
The beach at Dawlish Warren has a quite a large section that allow dogs throughout the year, and it is only a mile or so away from the camp site.
Over in Dorset, Weymouth beach only has a tiny section that allows dogs when I went there in 2010 and was quite crowded with dogs.
My dog definitely prefers Sandbanks and Dawlish Warren.
Cofton also has special offers for UKCS members.
I stayed there during the New Year weekend of 2009/10 and loved it despite some of the facilities being closed, and I have intended to return one day.

Ross Park is the most dog friendly site I've ever been to. A bit away from the beaches etc but a fantastic site, if you can get in as it is REALLY popular amongst the doggy fraternity.
