I am going to take a look at the reviews but wondered if people would be kind enough to point me in the direction of their favourite sites in Wales and why?
Thank you.

Dolbryn lovely rustic campsite with nice play area, animals to feed, fishing pond, lovely owners and small rustic bar in beautiful Carmarthenshire.

Plassey, well run & maintained top end campsite tons of great facilities. Loads to do but with a non commercial feel. Great choices of restaurants and a tree tops bar with occasional low key entertainment. Local to us and close to lots of great places to visit including Chester.

Islawrfford, similar type of site to Plassey in a great location with beach access and lovely places to eat in the vicinity.

Thank you for your response.

We have a large tent, myself my DH and my 10 year old.
My wish list is.....
quiet site with amazing views
lack of crawlies in the toilets/showers
Free showers??
onsite fishing
EHU

We can give up the fishing though.

We've not camped in wales before and we don't mind where, we are looking to camp in August for about 10 days this time. Chill out around the site for a couple of days either side and then go exploring after that.

Tynllwyn, Bryncrug near Tywyn on the west coast. My boys grew up camping there. Ticks all your boxes except fishing. Next to Talyllyn Railway......love it!!

Have a look at Pall Mall Farm. No on-site fishing but crabbing at nearby Aberdyfi! The C&CC's Folk Dance and Song Group (NW) usually have a Temporary Holiday Site there late July/early August (members only, but you could join on arrival).

(Edit: It's quite close to the site Helen has just mentioned, which also seems a good suggestion from what I've seen of it (never actually stayed there))

We like Anglesey (and lots of other parts of Wales). There are plenty of sites to choose from, and opportunities for sea fishing, but don't know of sites with fishing.

Fforest fields ticks all those boxes, but it's a bit of a Marmite site.  You either love it or hate it.
