we have a tourer and our friends want to hire a static caravan.....but we need to be literally next door to each other as we all have young kids and are struggling to find anywhere to suit. anyone know anywhere??? Anywhere will be fine roughly halfway between Newcastle and London!!! peterbrough?? Derbyshire? south Yorkshire??

I think you will struggle to find anywhere where you are literally next door. Statics and Tourers require different planning permissions and licences and therefore tend to be in separate areas of a Site.

But there are lots of sites with both so you are best off using the advanced search on this website and trawling through the details to find out how close they are!

The static caravans are opposite if you pitch in the right place not next door.

The Camping and Caravanning Club list quite a lot of locations where they have statics for hire which will be on the touring site. Have a look at their website

We use uppercarr at Pickering. Van no4 faces the touring pitch, it was 30 seconds between cutting through the hedge. We have kids 5 and 3, lovely park on site.
