Hi. We were planning to take the caravan away with the kids for a couple days in half term. Usually go to Keswick, but I'm getting some work done on the car by somebody on Bramley, so we've decided to combine the 2, but the hunt for sites isn't throwing many results. So I'm turning to all the good people here for suggestions.
We're not fussy. All we need is hook up and a tap. We prefer the smaller sites that aren't touristy. We'll be 2 adults and 3 kids (7,4 & 2) looking to pay no more than around £18/night. From Sunday 14/2 leaving Tuesday 16/2.
Any suggestions are most welcome.
Thanks

Springvale Farm might be suitable - no mention of EHU but you could ask if they have a domestic-type socket you could use, with a suitable adapter lead?
We're not at the moment have been in the past but didn't really use many c&cc sites so decided not to carry it on. I'm thinking of it again though as sods law a lot we look at are again
Springvale farm does have EHU, we have stayed there. It's ok, simple basic farm site. There were horses in the adjoining fields when we were there. I don't think they would be bothered about C&CC membership. Do book in advance though.
And if you do go there, be prepared for the sudden right hand turn into the site just after the junction. (guess who missed it).

Thrybergh country park. The site is about 6 miles from Bramley and on a bus route into Rotherham and Doncaster. There are good walks around the lake and it seems to be a very quiet site

Thanks. Yeah we've decided to go with that one. Although my wife sent an email not realising I'd phoned them and we've got 2 different prices? Nothing drastic, she was told £16/night I was told £15. Obviously not really an issue....
I don't know the mechanics full name actually. Found him on another forum. From his username I'm taking an educated guess he's called Dave, and I know he had a black 306 diesel if that's any help..?
