Anyone have any favourite sites to go to in the south of England with children this summer?
I have a ten year old only child, he's very sociable so used to making friends but will need a playground as otherwise won't approach other kids.
Near the sea and relatively flat pitches would be preferable
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance

we went West Fleet near Weymouth a few years ago and the kids found it easy to make friends there. Not a massive playground for older children but there is a swimming pool outdoors and a play area where lots were playing cricket, football, rounders etc There was also a chargeable massive blow up slide, which the kids met around in the evening. Take a look
------------- 2015 sites booked so far: Cotswold Farm Park, Ninham IOW, still some more to book
I wouldn't take my kids to Brean. Way too commercialised to make a holiday for us and the artificial-ness of it is not for us. We much prefer Burnham-on-sea. Only our opinion though!
------------- 2014
Easter Hols - Burnham-on-sea (7 nts)
Early May bank hol - Hopley's Bewdley (3nts).
Whitsun - Goodrington (14 nts).
August - Goodrington (16 nts).

I dont mind commercial as long as its not the same on the campsite.
We've been to Brean already and stayed at a really nice (IMO)campsite in non-ehu. I think it was called Northam farm.
Wouldn't have chosen the area had I known about the funfair and kiss me quick style but we really enjoyed ourselves!!
Anyway, our campsite was on the seafront road but not too close to the commercialised bit so it was fine but probably wouldn't stay in Brean again as been there and done that.

It's a while since I've been there, but I enjoyed Wood Farm, Charmouth. On the 'Jurassic coast', good to look for fosils. Site has indoor pool, play areas etc..
