Hi, can anyone recommend some good sites in the Derbyshire area (Bakewell, Matlock etc), preferably with a playground, not really bothered about the large clubhouse sites

We haven't been to that area before and fancied trying it for 3/4 nights

We stayed at Rivendale which was a good tidy site. It's in a quarry with a chalk like ground which is what makes it look so neat. Well laid out with restaurant and shop on site.

We are off to try Birchwood farm http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=birchwood%20farm&by=sitename in May it looks quite nice and looks like they have a play area.

The greatest site you'll ever stay on is Barn Farm at Birchover. They have their own website and the place is relaxed and freindly. This is the only camp that I have been to in Derbyshire that I would 101% recommend, forest setting, very clean and the kids never get bored.
