It's not small and not everyone's cup of tea but we enjoyed Havens Haggerstone Castle. Not for from Lindisfarne

All these are handy for Holy Island, Bamburgh, seahouse & Alnwick. Not small sites, but excellent.
There also one near Beal but I cannot find any info on it & Haggerston Castle is nearby too but I personally hate the place.
Warren Mills
Budle Bay
Glororun Caravan Park
Elford Farm

I can understand that slimjim, it is very commercialised for sure. Each to their own :-)

Visited Haggerston a few times over the years & kids have loved it & it ticked all the boxes for keeping everyone happy no matter what the weather was doing. But last time was in Aug 2010 & it was horrendous, dirty, overcrowded & very noisy. My daughter who was 9 at the time said she never wanted to go back either which suits me :-)

I love the huge Northumberland beaches, but check your tide tables to choose the best day and time for going to Lindisfarne - once we couldn't get over to the island, another time we had to twiddle our thumbs over there as it was high tide when we'd had enough.
------------- 2025=3 sites, 5 nights; 2024 = 20 sites / 41 nights. 2023 = 9/23. 2022 = 13/35. 2021 = 11/29. 2020 = 4/20. 2019 = 13/35. 2018 = 20/33. 2017 = 10/22. 2016 = 19/33. 2015 = 15 sites / 27 nights. Didn't count 1976 to 2014.
