We are looking at going camping sometime between 26/05 and 09/06. I will be 7 months pregnant at this time. We usually camp in rural places and go walking which will be out of the question. Looking for a nice campsite that is near to daytime activities. We live in West Yorkshire and would not want to travel more than 2 hours I would say.
Any suggestions appreciated
Nina

Make sure you have a comfortable bed - I am thinking camp bed or fishing bed rather than SIM or airbed to save you scrabbling around on the floor.
Portable loo for those middle of the night calls of nature.
Hospital notes and bag just in case!
Look for a site with good facilities so you can enjoy a relaxing, hot shower.
Maybe consider a more urban site with access to day time activities, rather than a rural site. Somewhere near York or Harrogate maybe?

By 7 months you will not be needing to wee all the time (first few months and last month) but maybe 2 times a night. So a spot near to the toilet block would be good. I'd go for something with good washing / toilet facilities.
As for walking you should still be able to do 4 -5 miles a day on easy terrain if you are fit and used to walking. I was easily doing 5 miles with no. 3 on the school run (on pavements) while pushing no.2 in the pushchair 5 days a week until 38 wks when I started accepting some help with school run.
However if you have had a pregnancy with all going wrong / expecting twins it might be better to take it easy.
Not certain of how i'd like sleeping on the floor at 7 mths. Camp bed or what about a camping pod (small cabin at some campsites)
Wrong end of the country for any of my suggestions. Hope all goes well for pregnancy and your holiday.
Maybe different but one of best pals wife caravanned last year until a couple of weeks before baby Ross appeared, she is pregnant again and so far the 'baby up the jumper' is enjoying winter caravanning .... they plan to get away as much as possible until the baby is due in June (on the same day as his or her brother was born last year!!!).
Granted my Mrs is an A&E Nurse so they have the comfort of having her next door for many of their trips.

Can't comment on where to go but good luck with what ever you do.
I was in the same quandary as you a few years back when I was to go camping with my scout group - pregnancy didn't hold me back - but I cheated and took our trailer tent so wasn't on the floor.
8 and half months pregnant and with 16 scouts all fussing over me - it was a great relaxation moment knowing that there were other people thinking about my condition.
As I said earlier Good Luck with whatever you do and "Congratulations" for when baby comes.
I spent a week at Riverside campsite at Pateley Bridge in our caravan with our daughter when I was 8 months pregnant, my OH joined us for the weekends. It was a nice easy stroll to the swimming pool and the park, but the walk (well more of a waddle by that point, if truth be known) to the top of the High Street required a heck of a lot of puff :-) It was nice walking round Fountains Abbey and Harrogate, and good to be on holiday not too far from home.
