Has anyone had problems trying to book at Cathedral grange touring park at Litchfield I have phoned and they just said I couldn't book but give no reason why has anyone else had this problem we wanted to go at the beginning of April and by there web site they are open all year around

Same has happened to me today!
We live in Spain and used this site for about six weeks whilst visiting family last Christmas & New Year. We are visiting the UK first week in April, so phoned the site to book our stay. I got the same response - taking no bookings! It is a shame because it is an excellent site, good prices and ideal location for my needs.
So, can anyone recommend an alternative site? We are not in need of a big site, just a cheap, quiet site with electric hook up and toilets. Ideally, 10 mile radius of Cannock

Forestside Farm Marchington is lovely, but may be too far? The Cannock Chase CnCC site may be open by then.

Litchfield may still be waterlogged from the recent heavy rain and flooding, a lot of sites in the area are still closed and are unsure if they will be able to open for Easter.

It may be worth waiting a couple of weeks then trying to call them again, both the Litchfield Canal and the River Trent burst their banks at the height of the storms and this may have had a knock on effect to this campsite.

The site is on too higher ground to have been flooded.

We stayed on here in november and the pitches were very wet , a motorhome had to be pulled off and moved to hardstanding and our 4x4 struggled to reverse caravan up a sloping pitch
