Hiya Everyone, wonder if you can help me , when i was a kid we used to be away every weekend, looking at the prices of sites these days im not sure we can go away for one weekend yet alone as many as i used to as a child, have you any top tips ? any sites that are good value for money ? we have recently brought a folding camper with 2 children as well as a dog plus awning we seem to be on average paying about £25 a night! any bargain sites that you know of within a 100 mile radius of tamworth would be lovely xx
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Hi
This is a lovely site and its not anywhere near £25.00 a night but it doesn't have a children's play area, but there are lots of walks in the Shropshire hills. It's 60 miles from tamworth - there are a lot of sites in Shropshire that cost a lot less than £25.00 a night.
If you haven't already done so, consider joining the Caravan Club (CC) or the Camping andCaravanning Club (C&CC) as this will give you access to small, 5 van member only sites (CL or CS) and Temporary Holiday Siates (THS) which are about £10 per unit per night.
OK, facilities are often quite basic but it means you can have lots of lovely camping trips! I did 56 nights last year.
I too recommend joining the caravan and camping club, CS sites can be very good value, and not all just have basic facilities. What you won't get it on site clubhouse, but you can always look for a site near a town if you want to.
------------- Visit Llandrindod Wells! Great scenery, walks, cycling, red kites. Ideal for exploring Mid Wales.
Hi.
Don't know if you like big commercial sites or not? Not my particular cup of tea but Easter week at park resorts in skegness we're paying £11.50 a night incl passes for 4 people and dog so can't refuse a bargain like that! Nearer to home you've got Upton barns just outside Nuneaton. Lots of room for kids and dog to run around, park fishing lake and pool and little bar if you don't mind slightly ropey toilets though they have got better!they do a weekend package. There's a farm just between Measham and Ashby (can't remember name) about £10 a night though not been. And always try the peak district-bound to be some cheaper ones there. And I'm sure Adam Henson' s farm in the Cotswolds is under £25 a night as that's on my to do list this year.
Hope these help and have fun!
Camping & Caravan Club, then find your local DA (District Association). Weekend meets for under £10 per night
Example (my local one) https://sites.google.com/site/westessexda/rallies
Almost all are £9 per night, and the kids will love them and make new friends too
