Have a look at the village of Luss, a pretty little place on Loch Lomond with good scenery and a pier where you can do boat trips around the islands or across to Balmaha. About three quarters of a mile south of Luss is Ardlochlay, nothing there except a few cottages but it's in a really attractive corner of the loch - I got some lovely photos for my blog from there last year.

Glen Lyon is a lovely drive not far from Killin. Drive right up to Bridge of Balgie and have a coffee outide the lovely wee tearoom. Very scenic. Another lovely day out is at Loch Katrine, either walk or cycle round the loch (bikes for hire there) or get the steamer The Sir Walter Raleigh up it - either way a great day. Or drive to Aberfoyle, keep going past the wee lochs (Loch Ard and others) till you come to Inversnaid and you can get the boat across loch lomond to the other side. All these days out will offer lovely walks and scenery wherever you stop. Also from Killin you are only an hours drive from Glencoe and if you fancy a spot of shopping, half hour to Callander, a nice wee town with pubs/restaurants and independent shops. If youre into fishing, you'll be spolied for choice in that area, same for walking. A general drive in most directions from Killin will give you great scenery. Ps, I'm not greatly fussed on Loch Lomond, dont know why.
Killin isn't near Loch Lomond, but you'll pass up the west shores heading north. We stop for a picnic at Firkin Point, off the busy road with access to the water. The east shore is far more scenic, with the West Highland Way to enjoy, but that's a dead-end road (albeit with a C&CC site and a Forestry site).
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
