We will be staying at St. Petrox Campsite at the end of May, and it's near to Pembroke. We have 2 dogs and was wondering if anyone has any experience of staying out this way and knows of any nice walks or Dog friendly beaches. Also where to go for days out etc etc...............thanks in advance!!
Regards Rob
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
From St Pettrox go out onto St govans head free parking and just walk either way. Your dog will love it. Then you could stop at Bosherton and park on the NT car park and walk through the Lilly ponds to The beach their and again your dog will love it, then when you get back the tea garden in Bosherton is excellent and the dogs can sit with you under the trees. You could also go down to Stackpole Quay and park on the NT car park there and walk over the cliffs to barafundle bay and again your dogs will love it. When you get back to the car park there is a NT tearoom. All of this lot is within 2 or 3 miles of St Pettrox. I forgot on the way back from St Govans you go through Bosherton for the tea room. The beach at Freshwater East is dog friendly as as the one at Freshwater West where the surfers go. Then the headlands just off the beach at Angle are good dog walks.
I am getting jealous here, that area around St Pettrox is just about my favourite holiday place. Enjoy yourselves there are endless walks and other outside things to do.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
If you fancy a ride out one day visit Stumbles Head. Beautiful place with nice coastal path and the dog will enjoy. Its about an hours drive but worth the effort and its a nice journey. You can stop off at Fishguard on your way.
